Dream Saga
Dream Saga (Japanese夢幻 伝説 タカマガハラ, mugen densetsu Takamagahara, dt "Dream legend Takamagahara " ) is a manga series of Japanese illustrator Megumi Tachikawa. She is assigned to the shōjo genre.
Action
Yuuki is a normal girl going to school every day and have fun with their friends. But then she finds one day a Magatama in the hands. She learns of a girl that she, the girl from the horizon is Horacty, and has the task of Amaterasu to save the sun. But they can call the bird Karyobinga. But her true destiny is to become the new sun of the world according to the present sun. You now have to find the others who also possess such Magatamas and should stand her on her quest to the side. So she meets all of her friends again, in her other self. Even in the dream world Takamagahara she is in love Takaomi and tried everything to save the dream world. But Takaomi has no memories of Nakatsukuni, but what he really wants. It gets the " sixth Magatama " and becomes a monster that is the sun, Ameterasu eat.
Characters
Yuuki Wakasa: She is the leading lady and lives with her parents and three brothers. These three she has very good control and thus helps her mother very much. Since the third grade she is in love with their comrades Takaomi. Even though she is only a child, their decisions are very grown up and she is also stubborn. She does everything to achieve their goal and their friends are their most important.
Takaomi Kai: He is Yuuki's great swarm. He is always smiling and is a very friendly guy who almost never upset. The overtures of Nachi he takes out loose. At first it is not clear whether he only likes or loves Yuuki. The two have known each other very long.
Sota Inaba: It goes with Yuuki and Takaomi in the class. He likes to learn, so after researching and is very smart, but also a bit conceited and holds for other underexposed. He is always with Yuuki, as well as he can and always trying to help.
Nachi Izumi: He, too, is a classmate. He can play tennis, riding, singing and dancing as well. At school, he is not very good, but in sports it has very good grades. He loves Takaomi and is therefore Yuuki's rival. Just sit around idly he does not like. In Takamagahara he is a girl that can dance very well.
Taizo Hyuga: He goes to the same class. Of the other students, he is a little afraid, because he is very strong. He also likes to play on and is like a leader. But he has an honest character. He loves to brawl, is in school but not very well.
Keima Sagami: He goes to the same class as Taizo. He has a peculiar character, and seems to live in his own dreamy world. He loves to collect waste and it to make something that is recycled, so many find it very strange. At school, he is very good. A rather quiet type.
Ms. Nagato: class teacher of 5a. She is always smiling and is pretty childish for her age. You almost never complains and when someone is angry times, then she smiles there. She has a great sense of justice.
Each of these individuals has a second identity in another world, the Takamagahara. There they are all but Yuuki older than in their normal world, Nakatsukuni.
Publications
Dream Saga was released in Japan from 1997 to 1999 in separate chapters in the manga magazine Nakayoshi of the Kodansha publishing house. These individual chapters were combined in a total of five anthologies.
The manga was published among others in the U.S. and in Germany. In German legend Saga was published from November 2002 to May 2003 completely in five volumes by Egmont Manga and Anime.
Worth mentioning
All three throne regalia of Japan are referenced in Dream Saga. The mirror Shinjukyou (神 獣 镜, shinjūkyō, literally " gods animal Mirror" ) and another mirror Shinkakyou (神 华 镜, shinkakyō, literally " gods flowers mirror " ), open the stairs Tenjukyu (天珠 宫, tenjukyū ). A sword gets Takaomi of a scale of crystal - Orochi. The family names of the characters are borrowed from the provinces of Japan.
