Dreamboat Annie

Dreamboat Annie (English for " Dream Boat Annie " ) is the debut album by American rock band Heart. It was first released in 1976 on the label Mushroom Records in Canada and sees itself as a conceptual work. From the genre called " Hard Rock " adapted the two sisters in relation to the group name at the time the identical " Heart Rock ".

Background

The producer Mike Flicker the group helped to develop their sound and to get a record contract with the label. The album sold well in Canada, about 30,000 copies were sold in the first few months. Shortly after the album was played in Seattle on the radio, and there were still times 25,000 units sold in the U.S.. In the U.S. Heart got a platinum award in Canada, the album reached double platinum. Total to date about 1.8 million units were sold. 1980 Mushroom Records went bankrupt. The two albums Dreamboat Annie Heart- Little Queen and were re-released in 1985 by the label, Capitol Records.

The album reached the Billboard 200 in seventh place in the UK 36th place The first single was How deep it goes (1975 ) in Canada, it also contained three hit singles in 1976, Crazy on You (ranked 35 in the U.S., Canada ranked 36 in Australia course 70) Magic Man ( ninth place in the U.S., Canada ranked 26th in Australia in ninth place ), as well as in the charts in the Netherlands and Dreamboat Annie (in the U.S. number 42, in Canada Place 53).
