Dregen

Andreas Tyrone Dregen (* as Andreas Tyrone Svensson June 12, 1973 in Nässjö, Sweden ), called Dregen, is a Swedish guitarist, songwriter and founding member of the rock band Backyard Babies.

Because of his passion for comics he originally planned to become full-time artist. However, its poor art touches to it denied admission to an art school.

So he founded with friends from school in 1987 the Backyard Babies. He was also a founding member of the Hellacopters, with whom he the studio albums Supershitty to the Max! and Payin 'the Dues recorded, the band but left again in 1998.

In 1999 he was a member of the supergroup project Super $ hit666 along with Ginger ( The Wildhearts ), Nicke Andersson ( Hellacopters ) and the Swedish producer Tomas Skogsberg.

In 2004, he took with Tyla the live acoustic album The Poet & The Dragon - Live Somewhere In This World on mainly comprising songs of the Dogs D' Amour, but also two titles of the Backyard Babies. In October of the same year he was again part of a supergroup: The ' Urrke T & The Midlife Crisis', he played with Urrke Thunman ( Maryslim, Bizex -B) and Mans P. Mansson (The Maggotts ) a single with 3 punk covers.

In 2005 he published an eponymous album with the project Snowracer.

On 26 October 2008, he had in Stockholm, at the farewell concert of The Hellacopters, a guest appearance. He played along with the other band members ( Gotta Get Some Action ) Now!.

In 2009 he married the Swedish singer Pernilla Andersson and changed his surname from Svensson to Dregen. They have one son.

As of June 2011, he played guitar in the solo band of the ex- Hanoi Rocks singer Michael Monroe, because the Backyard Babies were in a hiatus. On March 6, 2014 his exit from Monroe's band, it was announced that he wants to concentrate on his solo career and future projects of the Backyard Babies. The latter are currently in a band break.

On 25 semptember 2013 he released his first solo album Dregen and this was followed by a European tour, partly together with Imperial State Electric.
