In addition to withdrawing this yoke Westgrat the triangle horn sends two more ridges, one to the northeast in the direction of Concordia square and a triangle to the southeast to the Little Horn ( 3639 m).

The triangular horn is usually climbed together with the Aletschhorn. Starting or ending point of the tour is usually the means Aletsch bivouac ( 3102 m), which is located about two kilometers south of the triangular horn.

On 13 December 2001 the Virgin was recorded with southern adjacent areas as the Jungfrau-Aletsch -Bietschhorn in the list as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
