The Dreitorspitze is a mehrgipfliges, powerful ( and very distinctive ) mountain range in the eastern part of the Wettersteingebirge. This is divided into Part Kirchner ( 2633 m above sea level. A. ) and the Leutascher Dreitorspitze ( 2682 m above sea level. A. ), both of which each have several peaks. The main peak of the fourth-highest mountain range in Germany is the Leutascher Dreitorspitze, which is also referred to as Karlspitze. The Dreitorspitze marks the spot where the main chain of the weather stone of their main direction ( west-east ) deviates north to shortly return to the main direction. East of the Dreitorspitze is the karst plateau of Leutascher Platt, comparable to the Zugspitze at the foot of the Zugspitze.
The main peak can climb each in the 1st or 2nd level of difficulty on the easiest way. On the west summit of Partenkirchener Dreitorspitze leads an insured with wire cables easier via ferrata which is named after the famous explorer of the Northern Limestone Alps Hermann von Barth. All other peaks are the climbers reserved. A climb usually takes place in the framework of a two day tour with overnight stay at the Meilerhütte, a day trip is very high conditional requirements.
