Drewelow is since 7 June 2009, a district of the municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald Spantekow in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern, Germany.

Geography and transport

Drewelow is located three kilometers west of the state road 197 The city of Anklam is located approximately 16 kilometers north. The Federal Highway 20 is accessible via the connection Anklam (approx. 27 km) or the connection Neubrandenburg -Nord ( about 27 km). In the south of the district runs through a Endmoränenzug, while the north is drained by the Peene- south canal.

Districts of the former municipality Drewelow were Drewelow and Fasanenhof.

History

To coincide with the local elections on 7 June 2009, the previously independent municipalities Drewelow and Japenzin were incorporated to Spantekow.
