Drewitz is a district of the city Möckern district Jerichower Land in Saxony -Anhalt.

Geography

The village is situated about eleven kilometers southwest of Ziesar and just two kilometers north of the military training area Altengrabow.

History

In 1464 the village was first mentioned.

1843 lived 313 inhabitants, who were the parish in the village Gloine. 1889 the village was itself Pfarrkirchort and there Gloine had to be vacated in favor of the system of military training area Altengrabow here to build its own church was required.

1897, the village church was built in Drewitz place.

Until December 31, 2009 Drewitz was an independent municipality. January 1, 2010 Drewitz was incorporated into the city Möckern.
