Drop Trio

Drop Trio is a jazz band from Houston, Texas. It consists of Mike Blattel (drums and percussion ), Nino Batista (bass guitar) and Ian Varley ( Fender Rhodes piano, Hammond B3 organ ).

The Drop Trio plays down to earth, melodically oriented radio jazz with a strong emphasis on the electric piano and organ. The band released their albums at Magnatune. The trio founded in 2002, has predominantly regional importance. It occurs regularly in Texas and partly in neighboring states. 2007 first time there has also given concerts on the west coast of the United States.
