Drozdów, Lubusz Voivodeship

Drozdów ( German Ziebern ) is a village in the Polish rural community Zary is in the district Zary ( Lubusz Voivodeship ).

Geography

Drozdów lies east of the Autostrada A18 (part of the European Route 36), south of the town which lies on the junction Zary. From the border village Przewóz ( Priebus ) leads the Droga Krajowa 27 on the highway over to the city of Zary ( Sorau ).

History

History

Historically, the village is located in the west of Lower Silesian principality of Sagan. Documented assignable this affiliation is for the year 1522 for military service after the village was Priebus. Documentary news about the village are little present, which was attributed to the absence of a manor.

In the early 19th century, the village was a princely Kammergut and support duty to Sagan. In addition to agriculture, weaving was run, which was set in 1900 as a result of competition from factory weaving throughout.

By resolution of the circle Sagan Ziebern came in 1932 to the circle Rothenburg and was henceforth its easternmost village. On April 1, 1938, the south west neighboring Raussen was incorporated.

After the Second World War, the village in 1945 was located east of the Oder- Neisse line and thus came to Poland. Under the name Drozdów the village came to the powiat Żarski, the Polish part of the former Sorauer circle.

On July 1, 1952 Drozdów came to the community Olbrachtów, from 1973, the rural community Zary emerged.

Demographics

Around 1800 wirtschafteten in Ziebern eleven farmers, four gardeners and four cottagers.

1910, the village had 165 inhabitants, in the smaller Raussen there were 41 The figures rose to the thirties slightly so that by 1933/1934 Ziebern 185 inhabitants and both places had together about 240 inhabitants. In June 1939, the number then was 250

Place name

The German name appears in documents on including as tubs, Ziborno and pulling Born. One explanation might come cheap water conditions in question.
