Drumnadrochit

Drumnadrochit ( Scottish Gaelic Druim na Drochaid: " back of the bridge " ) is a place in Scotland. It lies on the western shore of Loch Ness.

The place was named one of Census 2001 Population ( total resident population ) of 813 residents.

Drumnadrochit is the center of Nessie tourism. It is very easy to reach from Inverness ( capital of the Highlands ) by car, bus and boat. Outside the town are the ruins of Urquhart Castle. In the village there are two competing visitor centers that deal with Loch Ness and the Search for the Loch Ness monster and cryptozoology.
