Duiveland

Duiveland (or Duyvelandt ) is the name of a former island and municipality in the Dutch province of Zeeland.

The island Duiveland was united in 1610 with Schouwen to the island Schouwen- Duiveland whose eastern part it is today. The community was founded in 1961 Duiveland formed from the previous towns Nieuwerkerk, Ouwerkerk and Oosterland. 1997 Duiveland became part of the new community Schouwen- Duiveland.
