Duke Ludwig Wilhelm in Bavaria (1884–1968)

Ludwig Wilhelm Karl Theodor Johann Norbert Duke in Bavaria ( born January 17, 1884 on Castle Tegernsee, † November 5, 1968 in Wildbad Kreuth ) was a Bavarian nobleman.

Life

Ludwig Wilhelm was the first son of Duke Carl Theodor in Bavaria and his second wife, Marie José of Portugal.

On March 19, 1917, he married Princess Eleonore Anna Lucie zu Sayn -Wittgenstein- Berleburg, daughter of Prince Franz zu Sayn -Wittgenstein- Berleburg and Juliet d' Albuquerque Cavalcanti de Villeneuve in Kreuth. After the death of his wife (20 February 1965) Ludwig Wilhelm adopted the grandson of his sister Marie Gabriele, Max Emanuel.

Louis William died on 5 November 1968 in Wildbad Kreuth.
