Duke of Leuchtenberg

Duke of Leuchtenberg was the title of prince, to his son Eugène de Beauharnais, after the fall of Napoleon in 1817 with the eponymous Landgrafentum and the Principality of Eichstätt zusprach Maximilian I Joseph of Bavaria as a caste domination. 1833 Bavaria bought the Principality and 1855 finally to three million guilders the lights Bergische heirs remaining possessions back.

A daughter of Eugène de Beauharnais was Joséphine de Beauharnais, Jr., Queen of Sweden. Amélie of Leuchtenberg, Eugène's another daughter, married in 1829 the Emperor of Brazil, Pedro I. A daughter was Mary Maximilian of Leuchtenberg, Princess Romanovskaja, ( 1841-1914 ), the mother of the last Imperial Chancellor in the Empire, Prince Max von Baden.
