Dumbutu ( spelling variant: Dumbuto ) is a village in the West African nation of Gambia.

According to a calculation for 2013 there live about 841 inhabitants, the result of the last published census in 1993 amounted to 749

Geography

Dumbutu located in the Lower River Region in the Kiang West District on the South Bank Road between Wurokang and Sank Andi. Wurokang is located approximately 3.8 kilometers north-northwest and Sank Andi approximately 6.3 kilometers to the south.

In Dumbutu is one of the inputs of the Kiang West National Park, it is connected to the best of the trunk road network Gambia.

In Dumbutu several cult sites are known:

  • Soto Jamba Wuleng: holy and religious tree
  • Farankunko: holy and religious grove
