The use and development
In July 2007, the company Ubisoft officially announced to develop the computer game Far Cry 2 based on the new Dunia engine. Only two to three percent of CryEngine 1 reused according to an interview with the Senior Product Manager Michiel Verheijdt in the Dunia Engine. On January 4, 2008 Ubisoft also an Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version of the game was known to publish. The game was released in Europe on October 24, 2008 for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. On 5 November 2008, a patch was issued with partly improved engine.

Dunia engine can run on both Windows Vista to DirectX 10, as well as DirectX 9. Dunia engine is less hardware - demanding than CryEngine 2, a similar game engine developed by Crytek.
Map Editor
