Durable ( DURABLE Hunke & Jochheim GmbH & Co. KG ) is a company that manufactures office supplies.

Durable is the inventor of the terminal session for hole-free holding together of documents.

The headquarters of Durable is in Iserlohn (North Rhine -Westphalia). The company had around 660 employees in 2011 a turnover of around 91 million euros worldwide and features a distribution center in Iserlohn- Sümmern production sites in Gotha, Kamen - Methler and Szczecin. Distribution companies are located in USA, Netherlands, Sweden, France, Austria, Great Britain, Belgium and Russia.

History

The company was founded for the production of maps horsemen of metal in 1920 by Karl Wilhelm Hunke and Jochheim and registered with the company " Hunke & Jochheim " as an open trading company in the commercial register. In 1930 the company was already employing about 50 employees.

The destroyed in the Second World War companies was rebuilt from 1945. With start with 30 employees, the company began a few years later with the production of the first plastic tabs.

Horst -Werner Maier- Hunke since 2006 has been president of the Association of the metal and electrical industry in North Rhine -Westphalia and Vice President of total metal. In July 2010, Maier- Hunke was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st class.
