Duranguense

Duranguense ( Pasito duranguense ) is a further development of the Mexican Norteña music, which has increased especially since the mid- 2000s greatly in popularity.

In contrast to Banda typically less wind instruments are used in the duranguense, but play a sharply batted rhythm based mainly on a small drum and the use of synthesizers for rhythm and melody line a supporting role. Duranguense is usually played at a very fast 2/4-Polkatakt, similar to the Merengue.

The music style developed in northern Mexico in the state of Durango; to regional prominence and status as a distinct musical style he brought it but only by groups that were formed from the Mexican-born immigrants in the region of Chicago.
