Dusk (TV channel)

Dusk is an English-language Canadian television station operated by Corus Entertainment and Shaw Media. The station broadcasts mainly films and series index thriller, action and mystery.

History

The transmitter was admitted to the transmission mode of the Canadian regulator, the Canadian Radio - Television and Telecommunications Commission ( CRTC ) in November 2000. However, the station began operations only a year later, on September 7, 2001. At that time, under the station name Scream of the transmitter from the Corus Entertainment and Alliance Atlantis was operated.

On 18 January 2008, taken over by a joint venture between Canwest and Goldman Sachs Capital the transmitter shares of Alliance Atlantis by CW Media, for 2.3 billion Canadian dollars.

On 9 September 2009 was a restart of the station under the new name Dusk. On 27 October 2010 took over Shaw Communications and Canwest Shares of Goldman Sachs Capital. The station is privately owned and has since been one to JR Shaw empire.

Receptivity

The transmitter is fed to the digital cable network of a plurality of network operators. In addition, the sender can be received via satellite by Bell TV and Shaw Direct. Furthermore, the transmitter is in the DSL network via IPTV fed among others at Bell Alliant, Bell Fibe TV, MTS, SaskTel and TV appearance.
