Dutch Antilles Express

Dutch Antilles Express, also briefly DAE, was an airline based in Curaçao and bases at the airports of Curaçao and Bonaire.

History

The airline was founded in 2005 and adopted on 30 April of the same year, flight operations with a Fokker 50 from Bonaire. In early 2006, the fleet was supplemented by three ATR 42 that crashed in January and March to the fleet, the Fokker 50 was parallel ausgeflottet in March. In addition, in January and February of 2007, the fleet was increased by two Fokker 100.

In April 2007, the headquarters was moved to Curacao.

Mid- August 2013 it was reported that the company is in massive financial trouble. Previously, the government gave grants to Dutch Antilles Express a rejection. A week later it was announced that at times no flights would take place to and from Bonaire Dutch Antilles Express more and their main base in Curacao due to unpaid bills no longer allowed to use. In addition, the fleet was also fined for of default until further notice with a start prohibition - accordingly the company's website was last Limited availability and reservations were no longer possible. On August 30, Dutch Antilles Express was by a court in Curacao finally declared bankrupt after employees had complained that were waiting for their salaries for two months.

Destinations

Dutch Antilles Express operated last destinations on Aruba, the former Netherlands Antilles, in the Dominican Republic and Colombia. Venezuela was no longer fly due to litigation since May 2013. Bases which served her the airports of Curaçao and Bonaire.
