Dvapara-Yuga

Dvapara Yuga and Dwapara Yuga (Sanskrit द्वापर युग Dvapara Yuga ) is the third of four in the Hindu scriptures yugas or ages of the world described. The Dwapara Yuga Treta Yuga follows the and is detached from the Kali Yuga. It takes twice as long as the Kali Yuga, ie 2 × 432,000 = 864,000 years. Life Law ( Dharma ) is realized in this age only half.

According to the Puranas this yuga ended when Krishna returned to his eternal Heimstaedt Vaikuntha.
