Dynamite Dan is a Jump 'n' Run video game in side view ( Platformer ), which was developed in 1985 by Mirror Soft and sold for 8- bit home computer systems Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, MSX and ZX Spectrum.

History

The evil Dr. Blitzen has plans for a death ray developed, with which he wants to subjugate the world. Dynamite Dan 's job to infiltrate the hideout of the villain and to ensure the plans. At the beginning of the game Dynamite Dan has landed with an airship on the roof of Dr. flashing hiding. The goal is to find eight hidden in random places sticks of dynamite, blow open with these Dr. flashing safe and escape with the plans stored therein.

Expiration

The game world consists of 48 interconnected in a 8x6 matrix cells which are shown from the side in 2D. The border areas are connected to the X-axis with each other, so that effective results than the game world a cylinder. Reception

The title has been repeatedly compared to Jet Set Willy. As part of the reader's choice of the ZX Spectrum magazine Crash Magazine Dynamite Dan was in 1985 elected to the Jump 'n' run game of the year, before Monty on the Run. In initial testing, the crash Magazine awarded 94%. The magazine Sinclair User awarded 5 out of 5 points. Three testers of Your Spectrum 6, 7 and 8 out of 10 2004 chose the magazine Your Sinclair Dynamite Dan in the list of the best Spectrum games of all time at number 24
