DZ Bank building

The building of the DZ Bank on Pariser Platz No. 3 in the Berlin district of Mitte is an office, conference and residential buildings, built between 1996 and 2001 to a design by Frank Gehry.

On the south side of the Pariser Platz located toward provided with a more subdued, bright sandstone facade side of the building are the offices of the DZ Bank (formerly DG Bank ). On the back side along the road are the Behr apartments. The facade is here undulating and consists of several upward receding stages. Both areas are connected by a glass-covered courtyard, extending over several floors conference hall in the center of which in the form of a large arched sculpture.

In the immediate vicinity are the building of the U.S. Embassy (Paris ranked No. 2 ) as well as the headquarters of the Academy of Arts (Paris ranked No. 4). At the site of the current building once stood the palace Wrangel, the birthplace of the poet Achim von Arnim.
