Dzhuma Mosque, Tashkent

The Dzhuma Mosque ( Juma Uzbek masjidi ) is a mosque in Tashkent. It is located immediately adjacent to the Kukeldash Madrasah. The construction of the first building of the mosque in 1451 has Uboydullo Khodja Ahror ( 1404-1490 ) financed, the current mosque was completed in 2008.

History

Seikh Uboydullo Khodja Ahror was born in the country in Bogiston near the present Lake Charvak. Sheikh Uboydullo Khodja Ahror has been a great teacher and leader of the Muslim clergy. He was a descendant of Mochammad one of the saints of Sufism Sheikh Hovendi at- Tahur ( Scheichantaur ) was related to him his mother. He was still young when he got his place as head of the Order of Sufis ( founded this medal Bagautdin Naqshbandi ). He improved the doctrine of the Order considerably. Even in the middle of the 15th century he was a leader of the Muslim clergy of the state, which was passed by Temirlan. Because at that time Samarkand Iin center of the clergy had had to leave Uboydullo Khodja Ahror Tashkent. For this reason, he built the mosque and madrasah, as a gift to the residents of Tashkent.

The Uboydullo - Ahror Mosque ' was destroyed by the strong earthquake in 1868. This building was restored after 20 years. However, political mishaps led (Russian invasion and Soviet atheism ) to the destruction of the mosque. The ruins were pulled down in 1997. The new building was built in the same place.
