Dzongsar Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö

Jamyang Khyentse Chokyi Lodro ( Tib. ' jam dbyangs mkhyen chos kyi blo gros brtse, also: Dzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro, * 1896, † 1959) was one of the most important masters of Tibetan Buddhism of the 20th century.

Originally trained in the Sakya school, Jamyang Khyentse Chokyi Lodro was regarded as the incarnation of the great Sakya and Rime master Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo (1820-1892) and led its work in Tibet continue by contributing through the collection and dissemination of various traditions to to preserve Tibetan Buddhism in its fullness before its destruction.
