E-Services

E-Services is the provision of services over the Internet with the help of information and communication technology (ICT ). E-services are independent, marketable benefits intended by the provision of electronic capabilities of the provider ( potential dimension) and by the integration of an external factor with the help of an electronic data interchange ( process dimension ) to the external factors on a use -creating effect ( outcome dimension).

The special features include the digitization of the entire process chain:

  • Digitization of the product
  • Digitization of customer relationships
  • Digitization of the organization

Demarcation

E-services are often confused due to the novelty of the coinage with e-business, there is this only the generic term for all targeted tasks in the electronic field. There are other pairs of concepts that are closely related, such as e-collaboration and e-commerce, these limits, however, from strictly functional. E-Service referred only to the part of e-business, the purely digitally converted services. To distinguish:

  • E-Business: physical processes, such as digital
  • E-Service: is the pure digital processing
