Eamonn Oliver Walsh

Eamonn Oliver Walsh ( born September 1, 1944 in Celbridge ) is an auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Dublin.

After his ordination in 1969 Walsh was appointed on 7 March 1990 as Auxiliary Bishop in Dublin and Titular Bishop of Elmhama and consecrated on 22 April by Desmond Connell. On Christmas Eve 2009, he gave up a Christmas mass known his personal complicity in the abuse of thousands of children in Ireland and apologized to the victims. At the same time he offered, as well as Auxiliary Bishop Raymond Field, the Pope offered to resign, the adoption was rejected in both cases by the Pope in August 2010.
