Eanfrith of the Hwicce

The first known kings of the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of the Hwicce were the two brothers Eanhere and Eanfrith, contemporaries of Wulfhere ( 658-674/675 ) of Mercia, who reigned jointly by 660. Both kings were Christians, even as the people of Huicci ( Hwicce ). Eanfriths daughter EABA (also EAFE, Ebba ) was Æthelwalh, king of Sussex, married and mentioned around 681 as regina ( queen).
