East Grinstead Hockey Club

The East Grinstead Hockey Club is an English professional hockey club from the located in West Sussex East Grinstead. The playing in blue and white club was founded in 1897 and formally merged with the East Grinstead Ladies Hockey Club, after both teams used together at Saint Hill in 2005 since 1989 the hockey fields at East Grinstead Sports Club. There are a wasserbesprengter and a sand-filled synthetic grass.

The first team won the men in the 2008/2009 season for the first time the championship title in the England Hockey League and reached the Euro Hockey League preliminary round after victories against the Waterloo Ducks from Belgium and Kelburne HC from Scotland the knockout stages. There, the French representative Saint- Germain -en- Laye HC was defeated 3-2. In the quarterfinals, the team of player-coach Mark Pearn from multiple European champions HC Bloemendaal was beaten 3-2. There are four more men's teams, as well as several veteran teams. The first team of ladies playing in the 2008/2009 season in the unterklassigen Sussex Ladies League and there occupied the second place. Overall, there are five women's teams.
