East of Borneo

The end of Maradu is an American adventure film directed by George Melford from the year 1931. The screenplay is based on a story by Dale Van Every.

Action

Linda Rudolph is in search of her husband Allan. After a long and perilous journey, they reached the Kingdom of Maradu in the interior of the island of Borneo. Here she finds her husband, who works as a court physician by the name of Dr. Clark. Allan is bitter and throws his wife's infidelity.

Prince Hashin has enjoyed a good education and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. Nevertheless, he takes pleasure in it, throw it to the crocodiles to devour his enemies. Hashin is the belief that all nearby volcano, which has become restless lately, will not break as long as he was alive. However, he was the last of his family and he should die, Maradu will be destroyed by the lava.

Hashin desires Linda, who is not comfortable in the jungle. Linda's fears soften Allan. One night he makes off with Linda. Hashin followed the couple and it captures. Allan is to be killed in the morning by the crocodiles. Linda Hashin turns to him and threatened them. But Linda shoots Hashin down. The volcano erupts, Allan and Linda can escape the lava, leaving Hashin his fate.

Reviews

Mordaunt Hall of the New York Times certified the film a large proportion, if not plenty, voltage, however, which remains the plausibility on the track.
