Operation Eastern Condors ( Original title: Dung fong tuk ying ) is a 1987 action film turned from Hong Kong. The main role in the film plays Sammo Hung, who has directed the same time.

Action

The American Lieutenant Colonel Lam is asked by his superiors with a secret mission. He is said to penetrate into Vietnam and destroy an old American missile bunker before the Vietcong gets the weapons in their hands. For this purpose recruited Lam prisoners from the prisons of Saigon, which will be led by Tung Ming -Sung. Each survivor waving a reward in the form of a pardon, a U.S. citizen and 200,000 dollars.

Once they have penetrated into hostile territory, they encounter three Cambodian rebels, which is to support the troops by Ming -Sung. After a few skirmishes with the Viet Cong, the troop is captured and tortured in a POW camp. After their escape from the camp, the soldiers find out that one of the Cambodian rebels is a traitor and the Vietcong is already on the heels of the troops.

With the Vietcong in the neck, the troupe finally reaches the missile bunkers, a short time later arrives also the enemy and it flares up a tough fight. Ming -Sung and his men must not only fight against the Viet Cong, but also against the Cambodians who want to win for their rebel movement the missiles.

Finally, it is possible Ming -Sung and his remaining men to defeat their opponents and destroy the bunker.

Awards

The film was nominated for three 1988 Hong Kong Film Awards: Best Action Choreography For, Best Young Actor for Ha Chi Chun and Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Joyce Godenzi.

  • Sammo Hung took for the film in three months from 30 pounds because he felt his usual stature for the role of a soldier as inappropriate.
