Easy Mo Bee

Easy Mo Bee (born 1965 in Brooklyn, New York and East S. Harvey, Jr.) is an American music producer and rapper, hip- hop music with elements of other genres such as soul, jazz and Doo Wop mixed.

Life

Easy Mo Bee grew up in the Bedford -Stuyvesant Brooklyn district. The block parties held there influenced him as well as his father's extensive record collection at an early stage. At twelve, he began DJing. In 1985 he founded mi two friends from his neighborhood, the group Rapping Is Fundamental, the hip- hop with the music style doo-wop and rap combined with singing. Through one of the members of the group he met Big Daddy Kane; In 1989 he produced for his album It's a Big Daddy Thing first two pieces. At A & M Records, he released Rappin ' Is Fundamental 1991, the album The Doo Hop Legacy. In the same year he participated in the production of the debut albums by RZA and GZA, both later members of the Wu -Tang Clan.

Outside of the hip- hop scene Easy Mo Bee gained notoriety in 1992 when he produced the last album of jazz trumpeter Miles Davis Doo Bop and completed it after his death. Despite average reviews, the album sold over a million copies and won a Grammy in 1993 Award for Best R & B Instrumental Performance category. In the following years, Easy Mo Bee was mainly involved in productions by emerging artists of the record label Bad Boy Records Sean Combs. In 1994, he produced the single Flava in Ya Ear by Craig Mack, which reached # 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. Both with Tupac Shakur as well as The Notorious BIG he worked: Among other six pieces on Ready to Die by Notorious BIG and two songs on Me Against the World by Tupac come from him; both albums are today considered classics. In addition, he produced in 1994 with Runnin ' (From tha Police) one of the few common songs of the two.

In 2000, he released the compilation Now or Never: Odyssey 2000 she received little attention and even reviews, . Guest appearances were, among others, Kool G Rap, Goodie Mob, Angie Martinez, Raekwon, Busta Rhymes and Snoop Dogg. On Alicia Keys' album The Diary of Alicia Keys, he produced 2003 Medley If I Was Your Woman / Walk on By. In 2007 he worked for the album 8 Diagrams Wu- Tang Clan again with RZA.
