Eberhard Bosslet

Eberhard Bosslet ( born July 8, 1953 in Speyer ) is a German artist.

Biography

From 1975 to 1982 he studied painting at the Academy of Arts in Berlin with Raimund Girke. In the late 1970s he turned to installations and sculptures. Since the early 1980s, he updated his interventions in architectural interior and exterior of the concept of intervention. In 1981 he co-founded the project space / gallery MOPEDS, as well as the artists' group MATERIAL & EFFECT eV, both in Berlin. In 1997 he was appointed professor of sculpture and space concepts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden. Since 2012 he lives and works in Berlin and Dresden.

Bosslet used in his work exclusively products and technologies from the industrial and commercial reality. You are always significant, visible and aesthetic part of his works. He uses base, ordinary materials, which are connected as objects in unusual situations.

Installations

Art of formwork - since 1985 Eberhard Bosslet used in sculptures and installations formwork systems and ceiling supports the construction industry. There are so-called " Supportive care ". Here Bosslet generates a reorganization of the exhibition rooms at the apparent stabilization and destabilization of the building structure through the incorporation of constructive structures. In his " modular structures " are freestanding sculptures from the formwork elements in the construction industry.
