Eberhard I, Count of Berg-Altena

Eberhard I of Berg- Altena (* before 1150, † January 23, 1180 ) was Count of Altena 1161-1180.

He was the son of Count Adolf II of Berg from his second marriage to Irmgard von Schwarzburg. His brother was Count Engelbert I of Berg ( * 1157, † 1189 ), with whom he was in long-standing dispute.

At his death his county Altena, was divided between his two oldest sons, Arnold and Frederick.

He was married to Adelaide of Cuyk - Arnsberg.
