Eberhard Mehl

Eberhard flour ( born April 20, 1935 in Cologne, † March 29, 2002 in Koblenz ) was a German fencer who won an Olympic bronze medal with the foil.

Flour began in 1949 during OFC Bonn with the sport of fencing, 1956 won flour with the Bonners the German team championship. He then moved to REI Koblenz. At the Olympic Games in 1960 reached Rome flour in the individual competition the round of 12, together with Jürgen Brecht, Tim Gerresheim and Jürgen Theuerkauff won flour against the Hungarians, the bronze medal in the team competition, with flour in the battle for bronze erfocht two wins and one loss. Four years later, at the 1964 Olympic Games took flour with the German team to fifth place. 1966 ended his active career flour.

After his studies in Cologne flour worked from 1961 as a teacher of art and sport at the Max -von- Laue -Gymnasium in Koblenz. By 1982, he was next fencing coach at Königsbacher SC Koblenz, after he left the club after an argument, he built at the turn Coblenzer society on a fencing division. His most successful students were Dennis Bauer and Wiradech Kothny who oversaw flour up to the 2000 Olympic Games.
