Ebou Dibba

Ebou Dibba, MBE ( born August 10, 1943 in Bathurst, † December 29, 2000 in Edenbridge, Kent ) was a writer and poet from the West African nation of Gambia, who wrote in English and lived in the United Kingdom.

Dibba earned a Bachelor of Arts in French Literature at Cardiff University and a Master of Arts at King 's College in London. From 1975 to 1993 he worked as head of the folk high school in Bletchingley, Surrey.

He was found drowned in December 2000 in a river.
