Echendu Adiele

Echendu Adiele ( born November 17, 1978 in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, † June 18, 2011 ) was a German footballer of Nigerian origin.

Biography

The central defender, son of the 1960s for Port Harcourt XI ( Red Devils ) as a footballer active and working as coach of Sharks FC in the 1970s Babalola Adiele, began his career in his hometown club, Port Harcourt Sharks and moved in 1995 to Julius Berger Lagos. From Lagos, he moved in 1997 to Fortuna Dusseldorf. After only one year Adiele left the Rhinelander again and signed a contract with Borussia Neunkirchen, from where he transferred to 1 FC Saarbrücken in 1999. There Adiele played for seven years before he came to SV Darmstadt 98, 2006. After the descent of the lilies in the summer of 2007 he moved to SV Waldhof Mannheim, where he played until 2009 in order aground in the season 2009/10 for the SV Darmstadt 98. From January 2011 he played for the Football Association division club TSV Amicitia Four home.

Echendu Adiele 2008 was a German citizen since 27 February.

On June 18, 2011 Adiele died in a home visit to Port Harcourt as a victim of a poison attack.
