Ed Cuffee
Edward Emerson " Ed" Cuffee ( born June 7, 1902 in Norfolk ( Virginia), † January 3, 1959 in New York City ) was a jazz trombonist.
Cuffee pulled mid-1920s to New York City and played with Clarence Williams and Bingie Madison. 1929 to 1934 he was with McKinney 's Cotton Pickers and 1935-1938 in the big band of Fletcher Henderson. In the 1940s he played mti Leon Abbey ( from 1940), Count Basie (1941 ), Chris Columbus ( 1944) and Bunk Johnson (1947). In the late 1940s he gave up music as a profession.
