Ed McGuinness

Edward "Ed" McGuinness is an American comic book artist.

Life and work

McGuinness began in the early 1990s to work as a professional comic artist, having previously visited the Stoughton High School in Stoughton. Among the series for which he has since drawn include Mr. Majestic, Superman and Superman / Batman for DC Comics, Vampirella for Image Comics, and Deadpool, Incredible Hulk and Captain America for Marvel Comics. In addition, the mini-series Thundercats: Reclaiming Thundera for Wildstorm publishing, the graphic novel HALO, and was published by Marvel miniseries Civil War and some editions of the Ultimate series. His most famous work is probably the anniversary issue # 25 of the series Captain America.

In 2003, McGuinness with his friends and colleagues read request Thomas and Michael Bencic the short-lived art studio " Artxilla " they used some of the work on the graphic novel HALO, one of the best-selling " Art Comics " in 2006.

After his work on Superman / Batman, which has continued in collaboration with writer Jeph Loeb for several years, it will enter the 2007/ 08 Marvel Comics to make the new series Red Hulk, which is also written by Jeph Loeb colleagues. It also solves the colleagues Joe Madureira for the Ultimate series from, and is responsible as an illustrator for the series from part 4.

Authors with whom McGuinness - who currently resides with his wife and four children in the U.S. state of Maine - has more often worked together in the past, Joe Kelly and Jeph Loeb.
