Ed Nijpels

Eduardus Hermannus Theresia Maria ( Ed ) Nijpels ( born April 1, 1950 in Den Helder ) is a Dutch politician. From 1999 to 2008 he was a Royal Commissioner in the province of Friesland.

Nijpels was leader of the VVD, Member of the Second Chamber, Minister of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment ( VROM) in the Cabinet Lubbers II and co-host of the television program actuator in bedrijf ( updates in operation) and mayor of the city of Breda.

In published in 2003 film De Kameleon ( The Chameleon ) is Nijpels a mayor dar. His son Boyan plays a small role herein.
