Edderton Cross Slab

The Cross - Slab from Edderton is a Piktenstein the class III, of red sandstone, in the old cemetery of the village Edderton, in Easter Ross, Scotland.

On the west side of the plate shows an unadorned Celtic Cross. On the eastern side is located in the upper half of a bar cross, which stands on a semi-circular base, within which a tab is shown in relief. At the bottom, two more riders are cut. The plate was temporarily buried much deeper in the earth, and hid the lower tab. It has been recently raised to its original height.

This monument can not be the symbol stone of Edderton or Clach Biorach ( " sharp stone " ), to be confused, a menhir of red sandstone from the Bronze Age, which was later provided with Pictish symbols and stands in a field west of the village Edderton.
