Eddy Voordeckers

Eddy Voordeckers ( born February 4, 1960 in Geel ) is a retired Belgian footballer.

Playing career

Voordeckers began his career in 1976 at the KFC Diest. In 1979 he moved to Standard Liege. In Liege striker won its first Belgian championship in 1982 and won further once the Belgian Cup and Belgian Supercup. In 1982 he went to Waterschei Thor Genk, where he could not win a title until 1985. From this year he tried his two years in France at Stade Rennes. In 1987 he returned to Belgium and signed a contract with KAA Gent. From 1990-1992 he had his career at KVC Westerlo finish.

International Voordeckers played 29 times for Belgium, scoring four goals. He participated in the 1984 European Championship in France. Belgium was eliminated in the group stage.
