Edera Cordiale

Edera Cordiale (born Gentile, born January 30, 1920 in Turin, † April 4, 1993 in Tortorici ) was an Italian discus thrower.

In 1948 she won at the Olympic Games in London, the silver medal with 41.17 meters (gold and bronze went to the Frenchwoman Micheline Ostermeyer with 41,92 m and Jacqueline MAZEAS with 40.47 m). After their marriage the bronze medal followed at the European Athletics Championships 1950 in Brussels. At the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki, she came on the 14th Place.
