Edgard Tytgat

Edgard Tytgat ( born April 28, 1879 in Brussels, † January 11, 1957 in Woluwe -Saint -Lambert ) was a Belgian painter and illustrator.

Tytgat was initially influenced by the late French Impressionism and James Ensor. Later he developed a distinct form simplistic style. Tytgat also created woodcuts. His painting was characterized by figurative scenes, landscapes and portraits.
