Edin Cocalić

Edin Cocalić ( born December 5, 1987 in Visegrad ) is a Bosnian football player. He is currently in the Greek first division club Panionios NFC Athens under contract.

Life and career

In 1992 Cocalić fled with his family from his native city of Visegrad before the war in Bosnia in the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo, where essentially began his football career. Here he played for eleven years at FK Željezničar, the most famous Bosnian football club and one of the top players in club football of the former Yugoslavia. Known talents that have already been funded by FK Željezničar in early years include Edin Dzeko, Boubacar Dialiba, Semir Štilić. Edin Cocalić went through here several successful junior classes and was in the first team in the last three seasons, team captain and one of the most significant contributors. Most recently, he was considered one of the best defensive player and as a greatest talent ever in the Bosnian Premijer league. Encouraged by that is the fact that Cocalić was the youngest ever captain of all time at FK Željezničar.

The end of 2009 Edin Cocalić was at MSV Duisburg in the conversation where he was for a time as a Test player. In January 2010, he signed a contract for three and a half years at FC Panionios Athens.

Edin Cocalić also played in various U- national teams (U 17 - U 21 ) of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
