Edo-Tokyo-Museum

The Edo -Tokyo Museum (Japanese江 戸 东京 博物馆, Edo Tōkyō Hakubutsukan ) is a 1992 founded the Museum of the History of Tokyo in Sumida district Yokoami.

The permanent collection includes, among other things, a reconstruction of the Nihonbashi, that bridge that is traditionally considered the starting point of all roads in Japan, as well as numerous models of the city and replicas of buildings from the Edo, Meiji and Shōwa period.

The building is reminiscent of the architecture of old warehouses and is located in the immediate vicinity of Ryōgoku Hall ( Ryōgoku Kokugikan ) and the train station Ryōgoku.
