Edoardo Agnelli (industrialist)

Edoardo Agnelli ( born January 2, 1892 in Verona, † July 14, 1935 at Genoa ) was an Italian industrialist and Vice - President of Fiat.

Edoardo Agnelli was the son of the founder of the Fiat automobile company Giovanni Agnelli senior and was married to Virginia Bourbon del Monte. From this marriage seven children were born, known above all the sons Gianni and Umberto, and daughter Susanna, who later became the first Foreign Minister of Italy. He was vice-president of the company founded by his father automotive group Fiat and was from July 24, 1923 patrons and later president of the football club Juventus. He founded the decades of partnership and solidarity with the Turin club, and still exists today. In his term as President Juventus became the most successful club in the early 1930s. Until his death was followed by 1931-1935 five league titles in a row.

Edoardo died on 14 July 1935 at the age of 43 near Genoa in a plane crash.
