Édouard Cissé

Édouard Cissé ( 2010)

Souleymane Cissé Édouard Leopold (born 30 March 1978 in Pau, France) is a French- Senegalese football player. The midfielder is currently without a club.

Career

Cissé played in youth 1986-1994 AS Billère before joining the football club Pau, where he started his professional career in 1996 and three games for the club completed. But already in the following year he signed with the French capital club Paris Saint -Germain, where he was until 2007 under contract. On October 5, 1997, he denied against FC Nantes, his first Ligue 1 match. During the following years, however, he was loaned out to other clubs several times. He played in the 1998/1999 season for Stade Rennes, ran 2002/03 in England for West Ham United and was in the following season the jersey of AS Monaco. With the Monegasque he reached the UEFA Champions League final and the third place in Ligue 1

After ten years of contract in Paris, the club decided to sell him in the summer of 2007. For the season 2007/ 08 Cisse joined Beşiktaş Istanbul. He signed there for three years. His first game he played 11 August 2007 against Konyaspor, where he appeared as a substitute in the 81st minute for Koray Avcı. His first goal he succeeded on January 5, 2008 at the cup match against Diyarbakir Diski Buyuksehyr Belediyesi Spor.
