Eduard von Rindfleisch

Georg Eduard von beef (* December 15 1836 in Köthen (Anhalt), † December 6, 1908 in Würzburg ) was a German pathologist.

Life

Beef studied medicine in Würzburg, Berlin and Heidelberg; where he was a member of the Corps Saxo - Borussia since 1856. He received his doctorate in 1859 with Rudolf Virchow, for which he later worked as an assistant until 1861. In 1862 he qualified as a professor in Breslau. In the same year he was appointed professor in Zurich and moved in 1865 to the chair in Bonn. In 1874 he received the call to Würzburg, where he was the sixth holder of the Chair of Pathology. He became professor emeritus in 1906.
