Eduardo Paes
Eduardo Paes ( born November 14, 1969 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian politician. He is since 2008 the mayor of Rio de Janeiro (November 2011).
Paes took over the office of the mayor of Fernando Gabeira, which he defeated in the 2008 local elections.
On August 12, 2012, he took over from the hand of IOC President Jacques Rogge, the Olympic flag.
