Educacentre College (full official name: Collège Éducacentre College) is the only college in British Columbia, which offers adult education completely in French. The focus is on integrating services: the combination of complementary educational and counseling services of various levels. The main goal is the francophone population to make educational opportunities in their native language and to assist in the same train, the training of the English language. The offer includes vocational courses, adult basic education and services related to personal career development, such as counseling for job seekers and the integration of immigrants. The training offer also includes courses in French as a foreign language. The College is responsible for the entire province of British Columbia and in addition to the campus in Vancouver offices in Victoria and Prince George. Then there is the " Virtual Campus", an extensive e-learning offer.

History

Educacentre was founded in 1976 and received the recognition in 1992 as a charitable institution for the development and implementation of educational services.

Mission

The mission of the College is to serve as " community college " to take a leading role in the development of personal, professional and social competencies of Francophone and Francophile population.

Campus

Educacentre operates three campuses in British Columbia: Vancouver, Victoria and Prince George. In addition, most courses are offered via distance learning via e-learning to meet the personal schedule of the target group and to reach even the most remote regions of the province.
